Community Is The Still Key! 🔑
🎙️Link In The Show notes #8
– 5 min read
Hey folks, it's Bernie here.
So, we've been on a massive accessibility journey with Coworking Values Podcast over the last few weeks.
Out of the coworking values, accessibility is the one that 'rolls off of the table' the most.
You can understand collaboration, openness, sustainability, and community, but accessibility is costly and unglamorous, and people find it awkward to talk about.
As our friends at Purple Goat Agency will tell you, 24% of the population is made up of people living with a disability - that is about 16 million people - and we know people from that 24% who are looking for a coworking space.
This topic is part of our co-creation track with David and Nook Wellness Pods.
It is an ever-evolving conversation in places like the Coworking I.D.E.A. Project and the European Coworking Assembly.
About the 'link in the show notes.'
The 'link in the show notes' is the back channel and round-up for everything related to the Coworking Values Podcast that we discuss in the show.
The podcast is co-hosted by Emily Breder, and Bernie J Mitchell (that's me!)
While here on Substsack is our favourite place to be, we also have a LinkedIn page.
Of course, LinkedIn is a different place than here on SubStack, but if you are on there, we'd love to connect with you there, too.
Below we have hyperlinks to all our guests on their LinkedIn profile, we publish this over there too.
The goal it to connect as many people as possible, I’m always curious who and where people are so I like to be able to look them up online.
You find their podcast on here on Substack at the Coworking Values Podcast.

➡️ Supacell and Urban MBA

Some of the cast of Netflix's hit show Supacell by Rapman did a Q&A on how young people can build a career in the film industry at Urban MBA HQ near Old Street.
As always, the food was amazing!
Those of you who came to the Urban MBA HQ launch event hosted by technologywithin will know what I'm talking about.
There is still much work to be done at Urban MBA HQ, but already, over 500+ people have come to events there, and they have developed strong ties with the local community in the neighbourhood.

What we know so far...
Everything will be interactive, hands-on, and created with movement and connection.
We'll kick off the day at Milliken Floors Europe, hosted by Mark Linieres and Urva Soni, where we will have another session on community and citizenship with Jon Alexander author and co-founder of the New Citizen Project
Then, we'll walk to a nearby 360 Workplace location to meet Amy Morgan and Guenaelle Watson for a hands-on, interconnected workshop on designing and creating a workspace environment for neurodiversity.
📆 For this Bar Camp, we're 100% co-creating it, so we will email our London Coworking Assembly community with a special ticket and quiz - watch your inboxes tomorrow.

🙏Thank you to our co-creators
We work on a co-creator model to make the Coworking Values Podcast a sustainable project.
Co-creating goes beyond 'advertising and sponsorship' slots for better connection, education and relationship building - see the example below about event space.
Our co-creators are:
David O'Coimin, founder of Nook Wellness Pods
Francesca Dixon from Virtual Headquarters
Christian Schmitz from SALTO Systems
Kofi Oppong, founder of Urban MBA
Here is more about Francesca Dixon and Virtual Headquarters

A solid Virtual Office set up for any coworking space is an additional, scalable, constant revenue stream.
It simply means that people register their businesses at your coworking space and use it as their business address instead of their own home.
As a coworking space owner, you can take advantage of the constant flow of new micro and small businesses being set up.
They present a significant opportunity to cater to a new wave of entrepreneurial needs and make more revenue for your coworking space.
If you would like to book a call or contact Francesca and her team, head to this page, call 03302 232605, or email me, and I'll introduce you directly.

➡️ Remember, the strength of our communities lies in our collective efforts and shared values.
Please rate, follow, share, and leave a review for the Coworking Values Podcast; it helps our show have an even greater impact.
It also helps people in the general public and your neighbourhood understand coworking, how it can benefit their local community, and how it can benefit them in building their careers, projects, and work.
Community is the key! 🔑
Thank you for your time and attention
Have a remarkable weekend!
Be careful out there.
It is a jungle.
