Breakfast show CONTENT AND THEMES at WORKSPACE DESIGN SHOW 2024

DAY ONE: “Accessible Workspaces: Inclusivity, Language, and the Future of Coworking”

Our Breakfast Show on Day One at the London Coworking Assembly is about making coworking spaces great for everyone.

This is super important because a recent survey found that almost a quarter of people in the UK have a disability.

Did you know that the ‘Purple Pound,’ which represents the money spent by disabled people and their households, is worth a staggering £274 billion to the UK economy annually?

Accessibility is even more crucial now because more people are working near home or remotely than ever before.

That’s a big part of why we think when things are designed for people with disabilities, they work better for everyone.

We’ll focus on understanding and supporting different ways people think, including those with unique ways of thinking.

We aim to share practical ideas on ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued in our coworking spaces.

This commitment to being inclusive is like what we hear on the Coworking Values Podcast, where everyone wants coworking spaces to be friendly and safe.

We want to turn these ideas into things we can do during our event to make coworking better for everyone, regardless of their thoughts.

Expect to learn, share, and collaborate on practical strategies to create genuinely welcoming environments that boost creativity, support diverse needs, and enhance the coworking experience for all attendees.

DAY TWO: “Building Better Things: Coworking & Local Community Unity”

Join us for “Building Better Things: Coworking & Local Community Unity,” a hands-on session tailored for London’s independent coworking spaces.

We created this event specifically for coworking space owners, operators, and community managers keen on strengthening their ties with the local economy and community.

Together, we’re setting the stage for an open conversation about transforming coworking spaces into more than just workplaces.

They can become central hubs for community activity and a force for local business cooperation.

Expect to dive into real-life examples of forming meaningful local partnerships, crafting events that unite people, and strategies to boost the local area’s growth through coworking efforts.

Our event is all about working together to find ways to make your space better for everyone.

If running your coworking space in a London neighbourhood has been challenging, joining this session could be a game-changer for you.

At a London Coworking Assembly Breakfast, we don’t just give advice; we create a space to share our experiences and challenges.

Together, we’ll brainstorm and discover solutions perfect for our local areas.

Come prepared to engage, share ideas, and collaborate because we are building better things for our coworking communities and beyond.
