Hello Coworkers! Welcome to another episode of Coworking Values Podcast, where every week we try to deliver something new for you.

This week, We have Pauline Roussel, Co-Founder and CEO of Coworkies. Coworkies is the first global job board targeted at coworking communities. In this episode we are going to be talking about Coworkies and how are they managing to help coworking communities come together all over the world. We’re also going to be delving into Hack Coworking,  the coworking hackathon they started back in 2019, and of course their brand new  book “Around the World in 250 Coworking Spaces” that Pauline and her co-founder Dimitar Inchev wrote.

How did you find the inspiration to write the book?

It’s an interesting story as the idea of making a book didn’t actually come from us.

Since 2016, we’ve been traveling the world of collaborative workspaces (coworking, coliving, makerspaces) to understand what kind of impact they have on people and on cities. Back in 2017, during one of our meetings in a coworking space called Based In in New York, its founder, Tomas, told us at the end of our chat with him “wow, you guys should really write a book about what you’ve seen!” We loved the idea as soon as we heard it but we didn’t go home and start writing. It took us a few more encounters with people and spaces telling us the exact same thing to really start putting our heads into it and say “ok, let’s make it happen”
